I posted two hot color trends for you to try in your small space a few weeks ago - Turquoise and Olive Green! Like you guys, I am loving these looks, especially the olive green. I also wanted to a design inspiration that integrated both colors and when I spotted this gorgeous Missoni fabric, I wanted to share it with you. I am loving this print and the pops of color.
And keep in mind that you don't need yards and years of fabric to use this design since it can get pretty pricey. Consider getting a swatch and either framing it or placing it on the back of a bookshelf, one of my own fave small space DIYs.

How cute are these Pantone salt and pepper shakers? Since most small space dwellers have kitchen decor out and about on counters and shelves, having these colorful accents in your small kitchen space would be a fab addition!

I spotted this clever idea over at How About Orange and love it! If you have a bunch of mismatched furniture in your space, consider painting it all the same color. This will create a cohesive balance and will make the random group feel like a set. Plus it will provide interesting lines and texture too. {via Cookie}

I love the idea of incorporating books into home design. Whether it's coordinating your books by color or using the covers as art, after reading your fave stories, include them in your small space design. Click here to check out this neat site that showcases a book cover archive full of color + design that will surely inspire.

I always enjoy checking out Rose & Radish's fabulous collection of wares. I recently spotted these oh so clever and colorful felt vases by Papaver Vert. Loving the texture and color combinations. I definitely will be adding the bud vases to my holiday list.

While I typically feature artists, designers, fashion and shoppes in the DESIGN INSPIRATION category, I believe the foundation for all of these amazing creations is color. The best thing about color is that there really are no specific rules - what works for you...simply works! Of course there are some wonderful guidelines you can follow when using color and small spaces come alive with color. They add depth, create layers and create an impact in the space.
