SMALL SPACE DWELLER HANDBOOK:
Recreating The Layout of a Small Space To Suit Your Needs

- BEFORE -

- AFTER -

Since small space dwellers have to make the *most* of the small space provided, begin creative and recreating the layout to suit your needs is super important. I love this example of recreating a layout to suit the needs for this small bedroom. Looks like the designer, Jason Martin, wanted to place the bed against one particular wall to utilize the space but a window was placed there. Instead of designing the small footprint around the window, he simple got rid of it by creating a new "wall" by way of curtains. Not only does the bedroom still have natural light from other windows but it feels bigger since the curtains are floor-to-ceiling (creating visual depth), the furniture is layered in front of the curtain and the focal point of the space has evolved. This page out of the SMALL SPACE DWELLER HANDBOOK is definitely one to check out and bookmark.
