SMALL SPACE DWELLER HANDBOOK:
Using Your Floor As A Surface For Accents

One thing I seem to naturally do when I walk into a space is check out how the floor is being used. Silly, right? Well for me, the floor is just another way to use all of your space. (big or small). I definitely am about doing what you feel is comfy and good for your home. There are no "rules" in design.

One idea to consider is using your floor as a surface to place small space accents. I spotted these citrus planters in the Catherine Malandrino store. I didn't get a shot of the entire cafe space but a table wouldn't have felt right here. Instead, the planters were placed on the floor in a row. It definitely caught my eye as it was a simple and effective use of this floorspace.
Definitely consider this in your own small home.
